Nigel Lo (罗显龙) is an award winning lawyer and political strategist who spearheaded the firm's expansion into Australia. He leads a broad commercial practice covering a range of industries with particular expertise in corporate turnaround, insolvency and private equity. He regularly acts on behalf of private entities, governments, foreign lawmakers, from individuals to small businesses, joint venture participants and ultra high net worth families. With a background in capital raising, Nigel believes that lawyers must offer commercially realistic solutions and embrace innovation when dealing with legal issues. He understands the concerns of both international and local clients and delivers clear and pragmatic legal solutions that align with clients' objectives and values.
As a sought after dealmaker, he has linked various businesses based in the US and Australia to his vast network of investors in the Asia Pacific region with the aim helping them secure private and state government funding for major projects, infrastructure and ecommerce ventures. Prior to commencing legal practice, Nigel co-founded AI-development firm, Fourth Side Technologies as its New Markets Advisor. He has also assisted international clients investing in small to medium sized commercial developments in Perth. He is also the first Malaysian to be awarded the "Long Tan Australian Defence Force Leadership Award" in 2010 by the Australian National Department of Defence in recognition of his contributions to community development and social justice. Deeply passionate about Malaysian politics, Nigel acted as the digital campaign director for the United People's Party (UPP) during the 2016 state election in the state of Sarawak, East Malaysia. The party secured 5 out of 7 state seats it contested on behalf of the National Front Coalition.
