The origins of the firm can traced back to 1984 as a boutique commercial litigation practice founded by George Lo, the first Secretary General of the United People's Party (now merged with the Progressive Democratic Party, a member of the state ruling coalition) in East Malaysia. OUR AUSTRALIAN PRACTICE
On 1 February 2020, we incorporated a legal practice in Western Australia expanding our footprint into the Australian legal market defying the odds in spite of the Covid-19 global pandemic in full swing at the time. We have established itself as a modern practice that embraces innovation, AI and legal technology.

INDIA LAW OFFICES (ILO)
On 22 April 2024, GLP (Perth) entered into a strategic joint venture agreement to share resources, goodwill and contacts with India Law Offices LLP (ILO). The firm is a well respected major player headquartered in New Delhi with strategically located offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and across 70+ Indian cities. The firm is well regarded in the areas of commercial, corporate, tax, IP, maritime, employment and other civil areas of law.
The official launch and signing of the partnership MoU was attended to virtually by the firm's leaders including Gautam Khurana, the managing partner of ILO. Mr Khurana, the firm's founder has been ranked among the top 100 lawyers for 5 consecutive years by India Business Law Journal publishing over 200 articles.
